Henry is now almost 4 weeks old. He is drinking about 3.5 ounces at feeding and giving us about 3 hours of sleep at a time at night. During the day he is a great boy and very easy to keep calm. He wakes up, gets his diaper changed, eats, and hangs out for a few minutes before falling back asleep. When he’s awake he loves to look at everything. If autumn is around he loves to watch her play and is fascinated when the TV is on.
During the evening, he isn’t such a great boy. Between 6 and 9 Henry is pretty fussy. He is full of gas and he cries a lot during these hours. Nothing seems to make him happy. Since he’s already angry we give him his baths during this time. He doesn’t like them much since he hates being naked and cold. He pretty much cries the whole time during his baths.
Henry’s skin is still very clear. So far we have escaped the skin rashes and eczema that plague newborns. His hair hasn’t started falling out yet and I’m hoping his won’t. It’s just so cute and fuzzy I would hate for him to lose it. I love snuggling in the downy softness
Henry was 6 pounds 2 ounces at his 3 day check up after being born. When we returned for his 1.5 week weight check they were hoping he would weigh at least 6 pounds 13 ounces. Our chunky little man weighed 7 pounds 4 ounces on January 16th. I guess all his late night snacks are paying off!
